Kamakura is the best place to feel spring in May.

All the green are fresh bright and the most of flowers bloom.

It is a perfect place for a special trip in May.

Flowers such as roses, tulips, peonies, snf azaleas are fully bloom at this time.

Don’t miss the events for enjoying those flowers.

There are many events in various places in Kamakura area.

“Wow, the flowers are beautiful!”

“You are prettier.”

Isn’t this the chance to make your lady feel loved?

Kamakura Park Hotel

Let’s introduce some of the hotel in Kamakura, which will be the start point of your day.

There are lots of accommodation in Kamakura, but among them, I recommend “Kamakura Park Hotel”

You can see the sea fom the windows in all rooms in Kamakura Park Hotel.

The room is a stylish and with the European style furniture.

You can relax and feel as if you are at a resort, just being at the hotel

Personally, I wanted to spend the day leisurely watching the ocean in my room when I stayed at the hotel for the first time.

But also luxurious time are gone quickly…

Kamakura Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine

Let’s look at what’s in the area.

One of the most attractive tourist spots in Kamakura is Kamakura Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine.

It’s not too much to say it represents Kamakura.

It is close to Kamakura Station and easy to visit.

The Shrine is made by the first shogun(dictatior) of Kamakura period in Japan.

The Kamakura period started in 1192, I still remember I tried hard to remember the numbers.

There are many famous temples and shrines nearby.

It’s interesting to think about Japan’s history during a walk.

There are shopping streets nearby, and you can have delicious sweets and lunch.

Especially, it is a must to check, “Oimo Cafe Golden Sparrow” with Oimo(potatos) dishes and sweets.

The parfait with the sweet potate is so delicious

Washington Hotel

I recommend “Washington Hotel” in Yokohama Sakuragi-cho to see around Yokohama area.

Just a short walk from Sakuragicho Subway Station brings you to the hotel.

It is very convenient that you can go everywhere easily for sightseeing.

One of the attractive points of this hotel is its place.

It is very romantic to have a view of Yokohama Bay Bridge from the room. Especially the night view is amazing!

If you turn off the lights in the room with the night view, you will definitely be in a romantic atmosphere.

Please enjoy a wonderful night!!

Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse

Well, let’s talk about what to see outside of the hotel now.

When I you go to Yokohama, I really want you to go to the red brick warehouse.

A red brick warehouse was built as a model warehouse of the country in the Meiji period and Taisho Period in Japan.

You will feel the history of Yokohama and Japan.

The warehouse has a history of 100 years with the Great Kanto Earthquake and the war.

You can enjoy the scenery view of Minato Mirai in the open space.

It is also nice to buy some souvenirs in unique shops.

There are also some stylish cafes.

In May there are many events at the warehouse.

Please do some reserch on the events there, you will find something nice to go with your partner.

However, I recommend you to join jazz events if you find, since they are so popular, and called “Jazz town Yokohama”.

What about enjoying good music and delicious dishes?

Chinatown

Yokohama Chinatown, after all, is the best place to go when you are hungry.

It is one of the world’s largest china towns with over 500 rows of Chinese restaurants, Chinese venders, souvenirs and other grocery stores.

You can eat authentic Chinese cuisine at a great price.

It’s best to eat on the road, as there are lots of delicious dim sums, such as sesame dumpling.

Among them, it is “Beijing duck” you cannot miss.

I can guess easily that there are many people are worring that it is expensive to eat at a proper restraunt.

Please do not worry.

Actually there are shops where you can take a Beijing duck from one slice.

“Chinatown Daihantenis located in the Chinatown, near the Kaga-cho police station.

One slice of Beijing duck is only 250 yen!

It is like a dream to be able to eat that Beijing duck so easily.
