Nara Park
Many people visits to Yoshinoyama in Nata.
If you are planning to go and see Cherry Blossoms, you should stay in Yoshino city and go there. Of course, you can do the day trip to Yoshinoyama by tourist bus.
「You can plan to visit to Kyoto or Kounozan from Yoshinoyama」
If you want to go and see cherry blossoms in Nara, you need to check your plane carefully.
Saigyo wrote poems about this place and Hideyoshi had huge Cherry Blossom Viewings in this place.
There are 200 kinds of cherry blossom trees and most of them are shiroyamazakura.
I will recommend to walk on a promenade so that you can see cherry blossoms very close by.
You can see thousands of Cherry blossoms at once in Yoshinozan. People says “Hitome senbon” It has been worshiped as holy trees from 1300 years ago.
Yoshinoyama located to central in Nara.
Elevation level in the mountainous areas of the north and south about 6km, Each one has the name call “shimosenbon” “nakasenbon” “kamisenbon”and “Okusenbon”.

How do you enjoy visiting shrines and temples in Nara Park

Nara park is one of Japan’s Top 100 Cherry Blossom Viewing Sites. You are able to see wild deer as well. It’s designated as a national natural monument
Nara park opens for 24 hours and No entrance fees. Nara park is the special place because you can see Todaiji deer and cherry blossoms at the same time.
The flowering season is end of March to end of April. Total number of trees are 1700. There are kohigashi, yamazaura and heyazakura.
Nara park is the main city since Nara period which people starts coming and see the shrines and temples.
Nara Park has been developed since Meiji period. That was a part of modernization policy.
An area of the Nara Park is 660 hectares. It has Todaiji which is historical cultural heritage, koufukuji kasuga daijya , Tokyo National museum and Shosoin.

Kori yama shiroato calls Goten zakura

Koriyama-jo Castle
When Yoshiri Yanazawa used to come here in 1724 and starts calling Goden zakura. It came to be called goden zakura after planting the Cherry Blossoms trees and competing over for the beauty of Cherry Blossoms.
“Castle Festival” will be held scince Showa 36. We can only see stone walls now after breaking the building in Meiji Period. The year 1981 was the 400th anniversary of the “Koriyama-jo Castle”, they rebuilt Oite gate, Oite turret, Higashisumi turret, Tabun Yagura.
Shidare Sakura is the symbol of the Koriyama Castle.

Shinfuku Temple

The Shinfuku Temple started to plant Ume (plum) tree in the Middle of Kamakura Period. (That is about 800 yearsa ago)
It is designated as the National Site of Scenic Beauty scine 1922 , the plum trees are expanding between the riverside of the Satsuki kawa.
You will enjoy the lovely views from the valley’s plum trees. Tsukigase baikei will be held in middle of and February and end of March.
Tsukigase ko han

Lots of people visit this place from beginning of April to see Sakura trees as well. It has 2000 trees of Sakura. The blooming time will be in April.
Tsukiga se is appellation of dakayama Dam .
It has a beautiful contrast between Suspension bridge and fountain.
The scenery there is really beautiful and famous for sightseen.
Tsukifaseko is surround by Yomeiyoshino, and the tourists enjoyed the view. When the sakura season comes it has a Sakura Matsuri.

When you visit Nara city, you can use bus tours, tourist taxies, rent a car etc. If you are visiting Nara city I will recommend to visit Temples and shrines.
