There is also a bath called the fish bath at Sun Hatoya besides Marine floor Onsen. You can watch a lot of fish and 2 sea turtles in the aquarium from the bath. The reasonable 1 day course includes the entrance for the fish bath and lunch!

old-fashioned shared Onsens in Ito area,”the water of 7 lucky gods” 

In Ito area, there are many shared Onsen places which you can use for very low price.

At the entrance of those old-fashioned Onsen, there are stone statues of 7 lucky gods. A lot of tourists and locals use those Onsens everyday.

You can enjoy walking around the town without a heavy bag of towls and shompoo, since you can purchase all amenities at Onsen place.

The town of Ito is a great historical town from Heian period! When people started using the hot spring in Ito was said to be the Heian period(794-1185), and in the Edo period(1603-1868) the water in Ito was sent as a gift to the Tokugawa Shogun(dictator) family.
